The Families Canada Store is now live

Over the last two years, family support centres across Canada have had to adjust and find new ways to operate, access training and professional development, and provide services and resources to families.

At Families Canada, we’ve continued to adapt to support our members – this includes increasing our digital presence and online offerings. We can proudly say that we have continued our efforts to successfully deliver online resources, programs, and events – with some sessions seeing over 1,000 attendees.

As part of our ongoing efforts to support our members and those who support families across Canada, we’re excited to announce the launch of the new Families Canada Store! Providing easy online access to the resources families and family support practitioners need, the store includes a mix of free and paid products, including the Intergenerational Resource Kit and Why Play? products.

A screenshot of Families Canada online storeWe’re proud to share the store is live with over twenty-five products! Every month, we’ll continue to add new resources to the store – so be sure to join our mailing list to stay up to date on new resources, events, professional development opportunities, and products as they become available.

We’ve moved away from the PDF order forms, and all resources are now available to purchase for delivery and/or download through the store – entirely online! Embracing e-commerce makes our products more accessible and significantly improves the experience of those accessing Families Canada resources.

To further enhance the experience of those accessing the store, visitors can view all products at once or sort by the following initiatives:

  • Children’s Rights
  • Financial Literacy
  • Food Safety
  • Intergenerational Volunteering
  • Parenting
  • Play
  • Social Inclusion of Newcomers
  • Trauma and Violence-Informed Approaches

Families Canada Members receive special member pricing on most of the paid resources in the store, in addition to discounts on select event registration, access to the online e-Valuation system for program evaluation, and so much more!

And finally, to celebrate the store’s launch, and as part of our COVID-19 efforts, we’re offering our Why Play? Prosocial Behaviours pamphlet for free with all store purchases.

As we continue our mission to champion the priorities, policies, and programs that build the strength of Canada’s families, stay tuned for upcoming events, research, webinars, on-demand training opportunities, and more. The year ahead will be challenging for many of us, but together with our partners, community, and members we’ll continue to adapt, build resilience, and support Canadian families.

Sincerely,

Zindu Salih
