René Ramirez Aguilar

René Ramirez Aguilar

René is a title attorney and legal advisor, licensed to practice in the Province of Québec. After a strong career background in Customs compliance, import/export and logistics working for multinational corporations, he was admitted to the Chambre des Notaires in 2018. He practices primarily in the areas of privacy law, access to information, and Non-profit Law and registered charities.   

He received his Civil Law Degree (LL.L.) from the University of Ottawa where he graduated Cum laude, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Montreal, and a B.A. international commerce from the Monterrey Technology Institute.   

He serves on the Board of Directors of Juripop, a nonprofit committed to improving access to justice in Québec, and on the Board of Directors of CPHS, where he also serves as Privacy Information Officer. He also sits on the income committee at Families Canada. He holds a CIPP/C designation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
