Making Food Safe for All (English)

Women are often charged with food preparation duties for their families, which, following migration, often include dietary transitions and adjusting to the Canadian food context. These transitions are challenging for some families as they must navigate different market systems, unfamiliar foods, different food technologies and cooking practices, and adjust to different ways of acquiring preferred foods. This study sought to assess the information needs of immigrant women across three areas: food safety, nutrition, and food labels.
