Our society greatly emphasizes productivity and efficiency in the workplace, often to the detriment of workers’ well-being. This workshop will provide an overview of the pitfalls and challenges encountered in the workplace, which can undermine the energy and pleasure of working. Working with families is demanding, requiring a great deal of listening, sensitivity, empathy and multiple skills. Expectations are high, and constraints are numerous. How can we preserve our energy and avoid running straight into exhaustion? How can we care for ourselves and respect our limits while remaining caring and cheerful with children? This workshop will answer these questions and suggest solutions.
