
Hilary Allen
Hilary Allen is the Program Manager for a project to increase vaccine confidence by enhancing the capacity of family support service providers through education and resources tailored to the populations they serve. From 2018-2021, Hilary managed intergenerational volunteering projects piloted in Family Resource Centres and other organizations across Canada. Prior to joining Families Canada, Hilary was a federal policy and program manager at the Public Health Agency of Canada, responsible for managing the Centres of Excellence for Children’s Well-Being program and other areas.
Hilary is also a passionate mental health advocate, particularly in the areas of youth mental health, suicide prevention and eating disorders. She was the Project Manager for a flagship suicide prevention project for parents and she chairs and participates on federal, provincial and local mental health advisories.
Hilary’s educational background includes a Master of Public Administration from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Political Science and Law from Carleton University.
